What is TechniSPA?

TechniSPA is a new treatment by Guinot.

TechniSPA can be added to the growing arsenal of non-surgical treatments that aims to tone the body as well as firm up and smooth out skin. This treatment is coupled by a massage and the application of plant extract products, which simulate skin rejuvenation and help boost circulation throughout the body. Cellulite can be specifically targeted with this treatment as well.

How does TechniSPA work?
A practitioner massages you as he or she simultaneously moves an iron-like object (minus the burning affect) up and down the problem area of the body. This is coupled with the application of natural lotions or gels derived from plant extracts. The iron-like object, which is attached to a machine, activates and helps the lotions and gels seep into the skin. After the lotions and gels have penetrated the skin (or dermis), they begin to stimululate blood and lymph (a clear fluid which circulates around the body's tissue, containing a high amount of white blood cells) circulation, to flush out toxins and to break down cellulite.  

Having a techniSPA leg treatment can reduce the feeling of “tiredness” in the legs by stimulating blood and lymph circulation, de congesting tissue and activating leg muscles. As a result of these three things working together, legs become firmer and more toned.

What ingredients are at work in a TechniSPA?
Lotion Exfoliate smoothes out the skin and stimulates blood circulation. The papaya and lemon enzymes found in the lotion dissolve dead skin cells and clean out pores. Glycolic Acid is a natural exfoliate and moisturizer derived from sugar cane and works into the upper layer of skin and breaks down glue-like substances found in our bodies which traps in dead skin cells. Methol Nicotinate, another acidic ingredient that has proved useful in skin rejuvenation, is rich in Vitamin B and helps activate blood circulation.

ThechniSPA gel encompasses Red Vine, which drains toxins from skin tissue. Horse Chestnut is an anti-inflammatory that helps release water from our bodies; therefore, combating water build-up (retention). Camphor helps tone the body, and Menthol is used for its refreshing and cooling nature.

How many treatments of TechniSPA will I need?
Six treatments are recommended over a 3 week period for maximum results. Treatment of the legs will take about 30 minutes.
